This is a site that will keep ya from sleeping at night. The Mexico story brought back memories of catching a Yellow Tail off the Loretto pier on a hand line in the winter of 1970. The same kind of excitement is generated in this growing sport. Jason really has a personal touch of sending you an e-mail when you need a question answered and that makes it a fun site. While reading the stories the excitement really begins to build. Just started with a Hobie Outback one month ago and I must say the bug has bit me hard. Glad I found the site and have sent it to seveal of my fishing buddies.

all you hear is your breath and the paddle stroking the water pulling you along...your searching....the feeling of earning your fish is what a tribal man would do for food....somewhere in bali....nias..sumatra..fiji...... So-cal , in its own class of fishing..sports...we too search and have to pick the right time to hit the surf ....equipped with all the necessary items..some folks say, california is drying up...we used to catch them all day long anywhwere...but..is that fishing?...yes....it was...now they go to the beach sit and watch there lines soak...oh there out there...waiting for the lucky kakfisherman to drop their lures in front of their holes and rip da bugga lips...yes , its earn your fish..like the tribal fisherman ......just want to say ...byez to some good dudes.....and you know who you are......keep on playing da blues........and rip a lip.......kakfisherman..rule......

After surfing through the website I know I'll have some great fishing adventures to write home about to all my fishing buddies. I hope to do a before and after picture. Me on a jon boat in a farm pond with a nice stringer of bass, crappie and bluegill, and then on a kayak with a halibut or sea bass! Love the site!!! Can we add our selves as a link? Need all the help we can get!! Small island east of Providenciales, right on the Columbus Passage, great fishing!! I am trying to get three kayaks for the season coming up. We do Whale watching, diving, mangrove swamp exploring and fishing. I would like to get some info. on what we need to set up a akyak for tourist rental for fishing? I am presently ordering 1 Cabo and 2 Scrambler xt's, main reason was for diving but having seen this site I am thinking that setting up for fishing would be a great idea! All input would be appreciated!!!! Thanks, Sue and Jagan Malcolm, Salt Cay, Turks and Caicos Islands B.W.I Also, if anyone out there has some neat pictures we could put on our site to advertise the fishing that would be great, of course with credits!

Great web-site. My fishing buddy, Donald, and I have been fishing extensively on my tandem, sit-on-top "Islander" kayak. We've had decent luck in both Newport and Huntington harbors and the coves off Laguna Beach for sand bass, calicos, spotties, turbot, the ever present mackeral, and some short halibut. How's the fishing in Alamitos Bay around the Seal Beach pier. The waves are usually low enough to launch from the beach, and I would like some fishing advice from the experts.

Aloha, Thank you for the information about fishing from a kayak. I live and work on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands where the fishing is phenomenal year round. Kwajalein is located 2200 miles south by south west of Honolulu, about 8 degrees above the equator. I have an old Ocean Kayak that is badly worn and has started to crack from UV damage (we get lots of sunshine out here). Recently, I started using it to fish in the lagoon, near shore for whatever bites and been having a lot of fun. Mostly, I have been catching grouper, snappers trevallies, rainbow runners, and several other local species. I stay in the lagoon and will not use it out in the open ocean where most days the waves are 3 foot plus with wind of 7 MPH plus. I am getting a new Ocean Kayak next year from Go Bananas in Honolulu who specializes in rigging kayaks for fishing in Hawaii. It will include, but not limited to, 2 rod holders, an internal fish bag large enough to hold a couple bags of ice and very large fish, and all the fishing gear that I need. I need a dolly to sit the kayak on and some sort of a way to tow it with my bicycle. We are not allowed to have privately owned motor vehicles here, every body rides a bike. For now, I just leave the kayak on the beach, but I don't intend to do that with a brand new one. Even if the island is 2.5 miles long, by .25 miles wide, and I could probably find it if someone took it. Go Bananas has told me that the cost of customizing the kayak and shipment to Kwajalein, will cost me a total of $1500.00. My wife is very apprehensive about me fishing from a kayak because Kwajalein, like nearby Bikini, has the densest population of aggressive sharks in the world today. I feel that as long as I take reasonable precautions, I should be relatively safe, or hopefully at least. Aloha, Les

Howdy! I just posted an article on our web site, www.paddle-fishing.com, and I noticed your post in the message board. I am very impressed with your web site! Very well laid out and lots of good info. You guys and gals in Cali are real hard core man! The sport is just starting to take off here in florida and its' doing it in a big way. I am happy to see that more and more folks are promoting this passion of ours. Maybe sometime we can swap fishing vacations/trips. Yourself or people from you board can come to FL to fish the flats for some monster snook, redfish and sea trout in exchange for a trip to California to catch them bigguns'on the kelp beds. Hope to hear from you some time soon and talk fishing Dirty Dave Paddle-fishing.com staff
