I think it's fine for a manufacturer to come out with a "wet" in the seat kayak, but listen to the feedback from your customers so that you can modify or do the fix. It might be a simple fix (if there is such a thing).
Though out there in the world circulating are several tens of thousands of kayaks with wet rides. Manufactures should come out with a fix for it. Whether it's the kayak manufacturer or an accessory manufacturer coming out with a product that can accomodate the kayak owner. Whether it's a pad, a new seat, revolutionary self bailing plugs, etc; There you go, a kayak that is self bailing but without the use of scupper holes. Whoa!!! I think I'm on to something. Break out the powertools, the hot glue gun and the microwave oven. I gonna build me a winner. lol.
