: Wish both sites would put up more ideas, rigs and aggie engineering projects. How about a FAQ page with a summary of the "how to's" How often is the same question asked.

: Have a great one. WE are bracing for the depression that will screw up the weekend.

When I started kayak fishing, there weren't any sites devoted to the sport. I didn't even know about kayak fishing accessories until I went to the Fred Hall show and saw a few totally outfitted kayaks. Sonar, bait tank, clips, the works. I was soo impressed. I took off the milk crate, wired a sonar and installed a few other very useful pieces of equipment (flush mounts, Scotty holder, compass, retractors, game clips, and a few others). It wasn't until the following year that I even knew about any kayak accessory specialty stores. Then came the paddle clips, the bait bucket and the Surf to Summit talk back w/ rod holders.
Like I said the last time you pointed out what we didn't have....."all in good time". All of your suggestions are logical. Between working, raising my kids and fishing, there isn't a lot of time left after that. Though I'm trying to make the most of the time I do have.
Ted Mackel recently submitted a beautiful "how to guide" on installing flushmount rod holders. I've wanted to add one for a while, but it's very time consuming to create something like that. He did a fantastic job! I'm open for more contributions like the one Ted so gratiously contributed.
Btw Ted, I have a beatiful Jensen dodger set aside for you. As well, some great handouts on how to create a rig : Bounce Balling for California Halibut.
