Actually, it would be interesting to quantify hull speeds from different kayaks in a controlled environment (such as a test tank). However, to really do a good job, we should consider adding different wind and chop conditions to the test. Sounds like a 2 year project with national security importance... do you think we could get a $3/4 million or so NSF grant? (You could do all our paddling, John)
