Btw, I don't think anyone is going to want to break the CA State record for a Thresher Shark. How's landing a 527lb Thresher from the yak sound? Though an IGFA line class record is sure to be broken, in many categories and by many kayak anglers. I think we have a distinct advantage once hooked up. I've fought big fish for hours on 20lb test (though Stren High Impact) and not snapped off. I'd think if I was on a boat, I wouldn't have had the same success.
