Have you looked at the Necky "Tesla NM" ? It has the beam and lenght to be a fishing machine.I was talking to a guy at Mothers beach launch at Channel Islands this summer, and he was saying a lot of his kayaking friends that fish in the Seattle area are using the Tesla for there yak.I am going to look at one the day before Jerry's Derby, and will be getting one in kevlar this winter. The store guy was saying on the phone that it is a really good combination of speed and stability and would lend it self for fishing, photography,or touring.I plan to use it on the big lakes where some travel is needed to get from launch site to fishing area. That and I have a need for speed.Actually,I do like to paddle for paddling sake itself, and nothing is better then a boat that moves out.I know most saltwater kayakfishing is on SOT's,but I have a "Ride" when I do the salt.Take a look at one on thier web site, they are long and lean.Scott Shaw
