: im trying to rig up some PVC pipes to the rear of my navigator for rod holding purposes only. but trolling capability is a plus. the thing is, a milk crate does not fit into the rear well, and sitting it across will cover the pad-eyes used for my seat. i was wondering if anyone has any pics, or know of any posted pics that i can look at to get an idea of how i can rig mine up for vertical PVC rod holders. navigators only please. the wells are different from the explorers. thanks in advance!
Pescador-
I used to have that boat and have encountered your tankwell frustrations, but fear not, I think I have a solution for you. Though I sold the boat before I did this you could attach pvc pipes to the back of the tank well,(the side nearest your butt. You will have to use rivits or well nuts as you will not be able to reach to put in nuts and bolts. You will need to make a hole in the opposite side of the pipe to allow you to get in either the rivit gun or a screw driver for the well nuts. If you don't like this idea you could get a rhino bar or make some similiar bar and attach it on the back edge of the tank well and attach holders to it.
Hope that helps, good luck and good fishing.
