Jimbo,

Come try them both!I'm helping put on a on Water Demo in Santa Barbara tommorow 10am-4pm at West Beach behind Sea Landing on the waterby the launch ramps. I am the rep for Ocean Kayak in sothern California so i get to use them both. The Drifter is a big roomy stable platform and I love to fish it for those reasons. The caper is still very stable but higher drigher, lighter, and smaller which definetly make it more playful in the surf. I would definetly choose it over the drifter for surf play. I was actually surprised at how much room the Caper had for it's size once I fished it. But it has nothing on the Drifter in that department. Both boats track well and the Caper paddles a lot faster than a Frenzy. I like the Capers high position and narrower tapered rails for a high powerful paddle stroke
Hope you can make it to S.B. manana otherwise we should set up another time for you to compare them. I always like feed back. I'm off to look for the Threshers @ 4.(hopefully they're feeding!)
See ya tommorow?
M.O.
