Pepperdine Report for 2/26

Meet up with OceanHunter and Whitey around 7:30am to awesome weather. Surf 1-2ft no wind at the time. First time fishing this spot so was a little excited to see what I could pull up. SSSLLLOOOWWW day on the water. Bounce balled 60-85ft depth for nada. Then 10:30 rolls around still nothing but an increasing onshore wind. After the wind died down meet up in the kekp with OceanHunter to dine on some chicken(Thanks bro) With the renewed energy, I drifted whole squid on the outside of the kelp to finally scrape up 10" sole. That's it! I hope Whitey did better than us for our sanity.

P.S. A private boater gave me this dangerous WSB jig. It's hard to explain the way it looks, just that it looks like something that a big fish would love to inhale. I'll be sure to try this one out in the spring.
