: You might want to start in the San Diego Bay.

: YakAtak and my self are planning to fish there this Saturday. Al is a very good fisherman and doesn't mind sharing his tricks.

: Your welcome to go with us, just e-mail me and I'll give you the details.

: I just picked up my kayak today nov 10 (usmc b-day) and I'm ready to start fishing, but here lies the problem I have no clue what is biting this time of year or even what to catch them on. I do know that I will be fishing the La Jolla and point loma kelp beds. please any info would be good.

I don't know that area, but I'm sure you can find some nice sand flats for some halibut drifting. Maybe just outside the kelp line or before it. "Generally" I fish the flatties from 45ft up to 80ft. Dropper loops, sliding egg sinker Carolina rig, swimbait lures and the occassional spoon.

Anchovies, whole squid or thin strips layered on a hook, live chovies, smelts and macks.

Save me a fillet!
