Sorry about that. My bad. The drift chute has a cilp at the very end of the line. Up from this clip 12-18 inches you tie about a 6 inch dropper loop. Clip the end of the drift chute on one of your eyelets in the middle of your kayak. Almost everyone has a bow line that is attached to the front of thier yak and has a clip at the other end. Usually people run the bow line back to about the middle of the boat somewhere and clip it to an eyelet. Before you clip the bow line to an eyelet you run it through the dropper loop, then clip it to an eyelet. The chute, when depolyed, is out at appx. 45deg to the boat. The dropper loop slides up the bow line a little ways and it seems to stay out of your way a little better than if you just clipped it to one of your eyelets.
