I did not have enough time to take the kayak today, but I got out for an hour of surf perchin. I decided to try Escondido. Surf was flat except for every 20 minutes several shore pounders would hit. Two guys made it out (like butter) in an aluminum motor boat. No wind, hot, sunny. Water was clear and aprox 60 degrees. Perfect for an early morning kayak run, just not enough time to take the kayak out.

Finally, tons of sand crabs, but no perch.
