: I'd like to catch one of these bad boys. Anyone ever done it on a kayak? I know I can get my lead core down 60 ft and slow troll as well, but I was wondering if any one here has any experience. I hear Shaver Lake has a Kokanee Derby. Any comments would be appreciated.
RE:Pierfish.com has some reports of salmon, but that was for Freeport, Calif. and that was like in October(search`Freeport`)
Kayakfishingstuff has a kayaker that uses lead core for fishing, you might want to talk with those guys/gals.
One thing that comes to mind is that since the salmon have changed their jaw/size, the develop a change in meat quality.
The last report I heard was of the Smith river, and salmon 50#, and steelhead where around.
