This is a post I came across on Amigos de Baja. Tobey and I are camping on a beach for 3 days, 5 miles from the spot they are talking about. I'm bringing everything from a 6wt flyrod to a 40# yo-yo rig and everything in between. Hopefully I'll have something to when we get back........Andy
Nov. 26 2002, Working my way down to gonzaga bay for the race, me and my buddy decided to camp at punta santa isabel down in the arroyo for the night. we woke up the next mourning to glassy conditions and an incoming tide so we grabbed the poles and slowly walked(more like crawled) to the point over and around large boulders till we arrived to two nice flat rocks. within minutes we were in one of the best white sea bass bites that I have ever seen. every cast you were either hit or hooked up to 15 to 30 pound croakers, who were not happy. I was using 3 ounce crocadiles with 30 pound test and this lasted for about two hours when my arms were about to fall of. this was my friends second time to baja and he couldnt believe it, he was laghing and yelling the entire time and I think he fell asleep with a smile on his face. viva baja
