Saturday Corral Cyn Report - Not Much!

Launched early am to calm seas and a dead wind. Made some nice bait (smelts) and started drifting for Guitar fish. I wish they wouldn't pretend to be halibuts. Fought a large one gingerly until I saw color. I was already dreaming of grilled halibut...Keep dreaming.

We worked the area hard from 50ft up to 10 ft, fishing mostly shallow. Assorted Fish Traps, fresh smelts, squid. Bite seemed dead; maybe anticipation of the storm coming.

Ended up catch and releasing one huge guitar fish, a couple of sandies and a couple of perch caught on the sabiki.

For those on the West Coast......watch the coming storm. Big surf, wind, rain, etc; Could be nasty for at least a few days.
