That looks where my buddy and I were camped in spring-1994.The triggerfishing was awesome. One bite produced a trigger on damn near every cast.I was using a blue and silver kastmaster spoon. The snorkling was pretty good also right on the beach.I saw a large leopard grouper in the gold phase. What a sight !A wind storm one night produced heavy winds that almost collapsed my buds pop-up 4 wheel camper.I was blown off my cot and our sun awning was destroyed.Lucky in that it was the end of our trip as the sun shade was really needed. That Baja sun will eat you.The beach had these weird bugs that looked like armor-plated cockroaches. There were millions of these strange insects that would surround you at arms lenght if you sat on a rock. When they moved, the collective sound of there plating was very weird. We both decided if one of us was to fall and pass out, those buggers would get ya!Lucky in that they would not go past the high tide mark, they had to have that constant moisture. On decamping,it was Easter weekend in San Felipe. What a riot! Thousands of California college kids swelling Corona's on main street riding ATV's back and forth. It took a long time to get back through town.We decided to cross over towards Ensanada, then cross over the border at Tecate. All in all,it was a great trip.We had a small New Zealand kayak, the "Sprite" and a portabote with 6 hp. motor,it was a good compo.Scott Shaw
