Great question! I don't recall the PFD getting in the way at all. That may answer the question since I hadn't given it much thought until now.
Though if it did get in the way too much, I would have probably remembered.
Some people don't like the tall back seats and prefer to the low. If you prefer the low back, you may not like this one. I've always preferred the 3/4 up to the full tall back.
With as many adjustable straps as there are on the GTS, there are a bunch of options for positioning.
