Right on Eagle Eye,
I just picked up a Malibu Pro Explorer last month. It is my first kayak. I have done alot of fishing in the bay on my friend's boat and on the 1/2 and 3/4 day boats out of Seaforth. I have done alot of surf and freshwater fishing as well. Quite frankly it is because of awsome yak fishermen such as yourself that got me hooked in this sport. I have read yours and others posts and journals for about the last 5 or 6 months. I was wigging out when you guys were out in La Jolla slaying the yellows and white seabass... I am kind of new to the kayak fishing game so I am fishing Mission Bay and San Diego bay for now until I get enough expierence to try La Jolla. All indications point to an awsome year there. I can't wait to expierence the epic fishing you guys have been enjoying there. As for the bouy at the mouth of San Diego Bay I too have had some good times fishing in that area last year. I was on my friend's Steve's boat one morning, and the sculpin and sandbass were just like vermin. I think you could have some good fishing in a kayak as long as you timed the tides right, so you wouldn't have to fight it to get out and back in. I am fishing out of Tidelands Park Sunday morning at 7:00 A.M. if you are interested.
Robert
