The surf was building throughout the day. Just after high tide, the swell really started pumping. Solid 8-10ft peeling off of the main jetty rock. There was also some killer surf breaking East of the stairs. Pretty surprised I had to go around surfers to land; usually doesn't break that far out that far down the beach.

A bunch of Olives caught on 5" FishTraps. Biggest Olives I've seen in So Cal yet. Caught a couple calico and sandies but no halibut. I bounced the ball for 3 hours for nothing but one Sandy. Good schools of bait today. I forgot my bait rig today.

I waited for a 10 wave set to go by and then I hauled (__|__). Right after I landed I looked back on saw the biggest set of the day. Man, the margin for error was thin today.
