: Jas,On my Pro Explorer I have one of those Sea Air Sports High back seats with the inflatable lumbar support. I took an old Boogie Board and cut a piece to fit under the bottom of the seat. It is now super comfortable and dry as a bone. It doesn't effect the stability much as far as I can tell. Robert

Funny that you mention setting the seat up higher. I found the seat to be dry without adding a lift. Though I do like the way it paddles when I'm sitting up higher. I have a seat from Surf to Summit called the Drifter Seat. It was designed specially to accommodate some of the wet seat concerns of Ocean Kayak's Drifter. It's your basic kayak seat with except this one has about a 3" lift, sorta like booster seat. I really like the way this seat feels in the Pro.
Even though the seat was designed more to help keep your rear out of the seatwell puddle, I found for me the larger benefit was better posture. Seems my body preferred the extra height which slightly changed my paddling stroke to a more vertical one. Your (Robert) set up with the boogie board lift is similar to what the Drifter Seat does for me.
