The 229 is my go to 20 lb bait reel and the 338 is my favorite 30 lb surface iron rig. They are low maintenance, very light, handle abuse well, cast superbly, and are fairly affordable. I would recomend any of the 200 and 300 series reels for our local fishing. Mike
