A few friends and myself will be fishing the tidelands area of SD bay. The launch is a Mothers Beach type with no surf to deal with, and parking is very close to the launch. Kayaks can fish in the nearby bay, under the Coronado Bridge or further out. Float Tubes can fish in the nearby bay. There is going to be over a 5.0ft tide swing that day. High tide is about 7:45am with low tide about 2:15pm. Please take this into consideration if your planning on joining us and fishing, especially if you plan on using float tubes.
This is NOT a fishing tournament or derby. This IS myself and a few others will be fishing and having something to eat afterwards. You’re welcome to come down and join us. The fishing in the area has been doing well, and we’re looking forward to having a good time. It would be nice to put some new faces with the names.
After fishing, we will be having a Bar-B-Que or some other type of food. You are welcome to pitch in and bring something if you wish, though we generally have extra. Mark from Ocean Kayak has graciously offered to have demo kayaks available for your use during fishing for those who don't have their own kayaks. There is no charge for this, and it would be a perfect time to try fishing from different models. Please contact Mark Olsen directly at moceankayak@earthlink.net and make arrangements with him for ones use, and make sure you let him know it's for the March 30th Fish-N-Que at Tidelands. If you plan to come and join us, please send me some E-Mail and let me know to be on the lookout for you. TC&TL,
Perry C.
