On my old yak, I had a scotty mounted way up front and it was a pain to get to quickly. I will install a Garmin up front on the new Pro Ex, but think I'd rather have the scotty in front of the FF rather than the other way around. Good point. I scoot right up to the rod holder and use my monkey arms to open it. I don't really feel like it's a stretch, but I'm 6'2" with monkey arms, lol.
