Life used to be simple, but I seem to have complicated it and now I am confused. Wanting to be stealthy and knowing that I need all the advantage I can get, I filled my reels with Berkley’s Vanish fluorocarbon line. So, here I am out in the kelp casting plastics and soaking live bait and notice how prone this line is to abrasion. All of those little curly-cues that demonstrate abrasion and the knot retying I go through have me wondering who the fish really is.
All I am looking for is a small diameter line that is soft and has excellent abrasion resistant qualities. If it is fluorocarbon, copolymer or mono, that’s fine. Even if it isn’t “invisible” that’s okay – a least the fish can see my line and follow it back to my lure. lol
Anyway, what advice can you offer?
