Offshore wind blowing 8 knots, shifted to out of the south, then southwest as the morning went on. 6 foot swells at 9 seconds off the point. Water looked somewhere between army green and pea soup with 5 feet of visability, didn't seem to bother the bass. I flylined a frozen Sardine while I jigged up some Macs. Saw a small boil and cast the Sabiki, rigged with a Scampi in place of the torpedo sinker on the bottom. Started winding in and BAM, pulled up a Calico double, with 1/2 dozen followers. Releasing them and the sardine goes off, another checkerboard. Threw out another sardine and dropped a 4
How was the landing that day? I like the waves there(when they're not too big)....they're not steep beach breaks like I'm use to....the waves are more manageable from the kayak (if you can't avoid them)then a lot of other launches I could think of.
