: : wher can i find some paddle clips for my yak I have the hard plastic spring loaded clips and although they are bigger they work great. Need only to put the paddle in the clip with one hand. great when time is of the essensce.
I really do like the plastic clips I got from CKF. Though they do have to be perfectly positioned when mounting or you might strike them when paddling. Plus you have to be more careful when loading and moving the kayaks so to not break them by bumping into things or scratching your paint on your vehicle.
I haven't used Hook1's, but they look nice. They won't break and they're low profile. Even if you did bump into things with it, you would damage the clips or any paint. I have Surlok rubber clips that come with an overlapping securing piece of rubber. They're nice too. I think for paddles, the Hook 1 clip is better than the Surlok. For gaffs and spearguns, I like the Surlok.
