Posting on these boards really gets to be a habit since the people are really great! Since your interested in a boat, outfitting it, and all the rest I bet you will find yourself posting a LOT more and it sure beats sitting glued to the tube all the time as I am sure you must be!
I'll bet Sammy would also enjoy starting with just a bare yak on his return! Or even better one with the accessories he would want right away still in the box....sorta like a big boys Christmas he gets to put together! I am sure others that knew him could help out there!
My wife has discovered she likes "her" scupper pro since its a little faster than the pro explorer I usually like to fish from (if I dont plan to paddle a long way). She seems happy to paddle with me in the harbor here in Dana Point and watch the sea lions and birds and I get some fishing in at the same time. I hope she will soon start paddling in sea so we can enjoy the coast here even more!
Anyway, my thoughts are with both of you as well as all the rest of our people affected by the war!

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.I guess I lied when I said I wouldn't make a habit out of posting here....--Lisa (Sammy's Wife): The trouble is you can't really buy a fully outfitted kayak...but i remember as i'm sure some others here do just how Sammy used to outfit his kayak and some of the little tricks he liked. I know he really loved his Scupper Pro TW so I would recommend another one of those unless something new comes out between now and then, but it doesn't look like it. I'm sure I can find a lot of folks here Like Eagle Eye and FishinPhil that would be happy to put Sammy's new kayak together so that it's turnkey ready when he gets back. Please let us know.Al
