: They look great, but I have tried them on and off over the last year and never caught a thing. I've tried them lead-headed, bounce-balled, carolina rigged, and flavored with squid strips. Never caught a thing. I haven't tried them in kelp. One thing about them that I see is that they have very little action, compared to swimbaits and grubs.
I agree that they don't have much action so I wouldn't use them too much for cast/retrieve. I can tell by looking at them that they'd be more effective for jigging, yo yo'ing and dragging on the bottom during a drift.
The B2s without leadheads I would use bounce balling with a dodger. The B2s with leadheads I would most likely drag on the bottom in a drift or yo yo and jig around structure. I can't imagine a giant red, Calico or ling not taking a swipe at one if the conditions were within reason.
I regularly use grubs, swimbaits and scampis. I'm not looking to replace those...just adding to the arsenal.
