Paddling clothes for warm weather and hot sun

I need a shirt that will block sunlight but not cause heatstroke.

I was looking at the lycra blend Mysterioso shirts at REI, but they only go to X-large. I tried one on and could barely breathe.

Anyone found something comparable but available in sizes for big boys?
