: Anyone use NRS HyroSkin John Wet Suit in the Los Angeles area? If so, what season is it good for and what season is it NOT good for? Any information will be appreciated.

I was using one this winter in combination with a paddle jacket. Though don't jump off of the yak to do any diving with it. It's too thin for extended exposure to water below 60. You're fine for a quick dunk, but I wouldn't want to be treading water in one during winter.

It's the most comfortable wet suit I've ever used. There are 2 zippers in the front (you don't have to peel off your wet suit to relieve yourself).

I think the Hydroskin was originally designed as a layer (to be worn underneath another wetsuit). Though for mild climates like So Cal, I think it works out fine provided you know the thermal limitations. I have yet to use it for diving. As soon as the water warms up to 60, I'll give it a try and see how it works.
