Hi Jack-
Santa Cruz offers a number of different kayakfishing opportunities:
rockfish, lingcod, halibut, white seabass, striped bass and salmon. And
not far south is Big Sur, the last frontier of wide open 80 fish a day
rockfish fishing. I recently started a guide service based in the
Monterey Bay area. Email me if your interested and I'll send you some
information.

I live in the Long Beach area but go up there every year. Now I'm yaking I may have to try that out up there. How's the halibut bite in summer?-Jackyak
