Went down to Huntington Harbor to fish the BIG backyard bay...it's like a residential street on water! Ended up not fishing much, just touring the backyards and yachts of those people...wow...they sure financially succeeded in life! I'm sure there's some nice bass under all those docks, just gotta fish it. I did catch a perch of all things dragging a small rainbow trout fish trap I was using as a weight, I was too lazy to take off my sabiki rig from the day before, so i just clipped it on..hehehe.
Was basically killing time until Malibu Kayaks opened to test the Xtreme. The one i paddled is a helluva ride! The one I paddled was just a prototype, and so the salesman said not to get squirly with it, so I CAREFULLY took the liberty of standing on it and hopping up and down on it, hehehe...(stability is there!!), rocking it back and forth almost as hard as I could (couldn't tip it), racing Jack in his pro explorer (passed him up, but i do have an age advantage), and making sure all the hatches and the area for the bait tank were accessible (yup, they were). If your looking for a new ride, I would certainly demo this thing first! Can't wait to see all the fixes, didn't have the sliding foot thingy and whatever else they are going to do to it. When I get a chance of demo'n the final model in the ocean, I'll post a full report. What ya think of it, Jack?
