You'll see a photo of a Standard Horizon HX 350. They have a couple of other models that are good. Just make sure you have up to 5watts and make sure it's "submersible".
The other photo is of a Uniden Atlantis. It's waterproof, but not submersible. That one is better for being on a boat than a kayak (or a kayak w/ a dry bag).
I like the Standard Horizon 3 year warranty Vs the Raytheon 1 year.
Also, check what it comes w/. Some are nicad, some are nicad w/ alkaline option, some come w/ the nicad charger, some don't.
