: The "trigger" on the Boga is all the way down over the hinges where the Berkeley is further up the shaft by the handle. Also, the Boga hinges are much higher quality and you can see the difference. Look at the picture of the Boga at basspro.com and the berkeley at berkeleyfishing.com and you can tell.I've heard that the Berkeley grip is "cheap" and doesn't pivot and "bounce" like the Boga does.

Large lings and Sandies love to spin when landed, with the boga it spins, and gives a little on the sping that is the weighing part of the boga grip,hence the "bounce". Once you grab a fish, as long as the boga is tied off,and closed on the jaw, the fish will not come off, until you are ready to release it, or bag it. Best new tool I got last year,my .02. Rhino
