It is cheaper to buy one, even if you need to save up. The problem with a home built trailer is that the kayaks are so light weight, if the trailer is not built right, it will start to bounce at freeway speeds and bounce enough to flip.
I need to get a sedan for work and will be selling my Jeep soon, so I have been looking into a trailer.
The 15 footer for $599.00 plus free shipping and no sales tax outside WI, looks like a good deal.
