This is not a kayak report, but I was out as a passive observer.
I took out my 30'sailboat today from 1:00 till 5:30pm The reef had several boats over it as well as several other spots, not much action. Several party boats were out over the reefs. The ocean was awsome today, very flat with a onshore wind ranging in the 2-11 knot range, we pulled 6 knots (our max) to about 5 miles offshore with a slow sail back to MDR. One of these days I am going to go to Catalina with the kayaks and do some fishing and boat camping.
I towed the CD 14 behind the boat for nothing even straight though crashing birds and a nice size bait ball. Last time out I landed 6 - 36" Barries.
Great day on the water even though I was not on the kayak.
