Fishing T Sharks

I would like any info anybody has on fishing T Sharks, like Lurs,leader,bait,hooks,(wire leader versus mono. circle hooks versus straight)and most importantly the safest way to land one if you decide to keep it. I'm new to kayak fishing, but not new to fishing in general. Just came back off a 15 dayer on the Red Rooster III. My arms and back are still a little sore.
