Just south about 2 or 3 miles of Ensenada lies a sleepy little estero/lagoon. We would allways take are surf boards but never go surfing. Just fish, eat, drink and chill. Well over the 4th it was the same again. The spottie's 14" to 17" were eating just about any swim bait 4" to 6" dark or light brown with orange belly. It was just about like every 10th or so cast BANG. So we grabed all the kids we could. To watch kids catch and not get bored Priceless. Their was some small butt's, sandies and not shiting you the biggest Yellowfin Croaker I have seen. About 8lb. It was dinner. We let all but 2 spotties go. Fish, kid's and yak's made for some good pic's. Need to get them developed. The bass made for some great taco's. Kid's on yak's bent over :-).
