I was sorely tempted to go down to Quivera basin to get some WSB action, glad I didn't now that I've read Iceman's post. Thanks for putting the info up on the site for us all. In that spirit, here is the Dana Harbor report from today.
Water: 64*-67*, clear and small tide swing from medium-low to a little lower.
Very little wind, no sun and fished from 7am to 11am.
Bite was *excellent*, if you were not too picky about what was biting.
I caught more than 5 YF croaker, to three pounds, all were pushing two pounds or better.
I caught around 10 barracuda, all short, all fought *way* harder than they do in the colder water.
I caught 4 WSB all short.
I caught 3 spotted bay bass, 10"-16"
I caught 4 Sand Bass all over 12" none really big.
I caught 7 halibut, 4 short, two *barely* legal, one 28", kept, see picture.
I caught most on live achovies, bait was excellent for a change and Gundy *packed* my qman tank for $5.
The Cudas and two of the WSB and one of the sandies and two of the bay bass were all caught on a rebel Fastrac in orange/gold, the "standard go-to" lure in DP harbor.
See you all on Saturday.

PS. BBQ???
