Back Bay Launch sites

There are launch sites closer to the entrance of the bay. These are easiest three places in the upper bay are the Northstar Beach on the west side (Newport Aquatic Center?), and Newport Dunes and Southwind's Rental base on the east side. Southwind's base is only available for paddlers
who are renting their kayaks.
Parking is free except at the Dunes;I guess the $8 fee is for parking and/or use of the other facilities at the Dunes. Launch at high tide at the Dunes; its a muddy mess during low tide.

From the Dunes and Northstar beach, its a short
paddle to the entrance of the ecological reserve.
