Help on choosing a Kayak

Hi all, I think I just found a new love. Ocean Kayaking! I haven't done it yet, but it's very close to float tubing and I just love that instantly.
So I'm trying to figure out what is a good model so I can put a all my gears to work on this bad boy.
I'm 5'7", 190lbs and pretty fit. I've seen the kayaks from malibukayaks and ocean kayaks. But would love to have more feedback. Oh, and of course where would be a good place to fish off of, what sort of lures, etc.
I'm heading over to Santa Barbara this weekend too.
