: Thinking of heading out sunday am at Carp state beach to chase some tsharks, butts and bass. I have done fairly well there in the past. I was wondering if anyone has fished out there lately and also looking for suggestions of where might be the right area. First I was thinking of malibu at coral canyon, but it seems as if the water has turned. I have seen reports in the past with good luck at summerland. If anyone has any suggestions i would love to hear them. Mike
If you do Carp, the outside edge of the reef and kelp is the best local to start looking for T's, inside the reef and up tight to the slew is best for the butts. Calicos around the kelp, sandies off the kelp in the flats. Summerland kelp, outter edge is also another spot, for all of the above, same MO. I am going to be looking more north towards Haskells, hitting Naples reef on Sunday. TL Rhino
