Sorry, was answering the last line of a response from Mac. I can only tell you from personal experience that the Piranha 4 and Matrix 25 can, both are hummingbird products. I have also seen other Piranha models and the hummingbird DX/SX models mounted thru-hull on yaks.

: thanks for the info guys. but you haven't really ansered my question. i didn't want to know HOW to mount a transducer, i wanted to know if most transducers can be mounted to shoot through the thin 'yak hull and still work well. even the ones that aren't labeled as "thru-hull". anyone have an answer? do most of you big time yak fishers mount the transducer inside the hull? if so, do you do it with whatever model FF you get? also, what about a review or two on that Humminbird 200DX? thanks fellas, Ryan
