I'm 5'8" and 187#. I tried both the Scrambler and Scrambler XT and found the the regular scrambler too narrow for my big butt. I also found the XT tracks better since it is longer.
Use or make your own kayak cart to move it from car to water. I also have the bigger Malibu 2 and have no problem handling it. Good luck and enjoy.
: Hi,I'm new to kayaking and I'm going to buy one. I've doing a lot of research and now it's a thing of two: the regular scrambler or the scrambler XT.I'm 5 8" and weight 198#. I'm looking for a kayak that I could do a bit of ervertything, including some ocasionally.I know the XT will perfom better but I'm a bit concern about the weight to carry it. I'd like to know of people that owns one and if it's difficult to carry it for one person.Otherwise, although it's smaller I'd have to get the regular scrambler.I haven't consider other brands cause I live in Spain and there's not too mucho to choose from.Thks.
