Did you go out to the kelp at all? The kelp is about 2 miles out and can be very good for the sand bass, barricuda and yellowtail (at times). Also, Trails 2 through 6 are pretty much sand bottom. I have never fished those trails, although I have head that the sport boats frequent spots straight out from trail 6. Trail one has some reef and Old Man's to the north is reef/sand bottom.
