The research is part my pre-business plan work. I'm just trying to get an overall picture of the industry (history, growth trends, regional preferences/differences, etc.). As I mentioned before, there won't be any spamming. That's why I'm not asking specific questions nor pushing any ideas. I honestly need the insights from the experts, you. There is absolutely no market research available on kayak fishing that I'm aware of.
Second, I plan make the findings available for free. I think that the data could only help promote the sport and help give the kayak fishermen a voice with the Department of Fish and Game. Also, the information may be helpful to anyone else on the business side of the industry. By the way, I did get a great deal of fishing info from the DFG but nothing about kayak fishing.
