Hello,

There are plenty of So Cal beaches that hold yellowtail. I have been divnig and spearfishing o.C. waters nearly all of my life and have seen and speared plenty of yellowtail especially off of many of the Laguna beaches the only problem with kayak fishing for them in these areas is that the swells are usually too big for a beach launch. Crystal Cove in particular has some very good structure for yellowtail and WSB.
