I think if you quit reading my posts from a defensive stance, you might see what I am saying.
Did you read my whole post? I said they will sell a ton of them. I didn't knock the design. I expected a major innovation with the long wait and all the talk, what I see is a well planned, very traditional Ocean Kayak. That tradition will satisfy long time Ocean Kayak owners and will attract newer owners with branding stability.
Use Coke for example, they keep loosing market share to Pepsi because they keep changing and re-branding.
My oppinion is that the design of the Prowler is not so radical to warrant such a long time in development. Your pictures show many of the standard OK features and a kayak that will definately grab a good size share of the fishing market. I simply read the company financials and came to conclusions as to why it was taking so long. I am sure that when they moved Necky from Canada Washington last year, that had an impact on part of it's development.
Why is it that whenever someone has something good to say about Malibu Kayaks, they get tarred and feathered?
Why do you care? All the equipment you sell looks good on Islanders, Cobras, Malibu Kayaks, Coscos, Hobies and so on. If you feel the need to alienate me because I own a Malibu Kayak, please don't wonder why the accesories on my kayak came from a different outfitter.
I don't get jack from any of the companies. I paid full price for all my kayaks and accesories.
I go out of my way to rent kayaks while on vacation, just so I can see if I am missing anything, I am anything but one dimensional. I am not known for following the herd.
I will be at the check-in bright and early just like last year, I am sorry you have such a dim view of me, we have only met in person once at last years launch. I am driving 150 miles to support a family I have never met and fish with a bunch of people who hate me because I paddle a Malibu Kayak.
Why don't we shake hands Saturday morning, agree to disagree on our equipment views and have a good time fishing and support the Moyer family. Then next week we can both go over to the eastcoast BBS and argue with the right coast boys about which kayak has the best decklayout for fly fishing.
