The flats we frequent on our coast are mid-calf deep. We use the SOT kayaks to get from point A to point B and then get out and wade. As we padddle around we search for redfish that typical "Tail." This mean when they are grubbing on the bottom their tails stick up above the water's surface and kinda wave in the air. It is like they are waving at you to come over to play. This is sight casting at its best.
