Bulls were in hiding today but it was a steady pick of 13-15" fish. Met with Bassact, Will Bowen and JimW at launch around 8:30. We paddled around a bit and I nailed the first fish on the troll (frenzy minnow). Just after I released we had a triple hookup with Bassact, Jim and Will all going off at once. Someone lost theirs but two others boated fish. Then it got quiet for a while as we drifted around towards the channel between the bridges.
We found more fish on the flats and it opened up again. Early fishing was hard with the spinner baits - no one was taking my offering. Got my first 3 on the Frenzy, including this one.

Moved around a bit more and we finallly found a good patch. Nailed several in a row on the spinnerbaits. Using 3/4 oz chart/white with a red reaper trailer w/hook.
Last fish came inside the dana landing area behind some parked sailboats. Finishe with 11 legal spotties for the day - largest went about 15.5", smallest was 12.5". Had one fish cough up 5 small clams and a razor mussel on my deck.
We lost JimW somewhere along the way and met up with Will again towards the end. Off the water at 1pm - IT'S HOT. Cranked on the AC back in Scripps Ranch.
